The Friends of Bursledon Brickworks
By becoming a Friend you will support the Brickworks and our aims.
- To assist Bursledon Brickworks promote and develop the site, the historic buildings and machinery for the education and enjoyment of the public.
- The preservation and presentation of the equipment and collection.
- Keeping an up to date inventory of the museum collection.
- Researching the traditional crafts of the building industry.
- Recording memories of former brick workers.
- Members receive free admission to Open Days as well as receiving a regular newsletter "Brickbats".
Many Friends also join an enthusiastic band of volunteers, who undertake a wide range of activities, including car park duties, refreshments, restoration, stewarding, guided tours, photocopying, administration, telephone work, fundraising, grounds man plus other activities.
Help is mainly needed on Thursdays and Open Days.
